For consultants

A specification you can put your name to: deterministic, standards-based and brand-agnostic, with the bus topology and the power budget on the page rather than in someone's head.

The trouble

A supplier's design is a sales document with a schematic attached.

It specifies their boxes and sizes everything to their catalogue, and when you ask why a room has four keypads, the answer is a shrug. You end up re-engineering it before you can sign it, or signing it and hoping for the best.

What you can audit

Every rule is on the page, and every number can be checked.

Rules you can read

Every device carries the rule that placed it: one circuit per fixture type per zone, one main control point per room, scenes rather than banks of switches, presence sensors only in circulation and utility spaces, service rooms left out of automation, roughly one access point per 100 m², a perimeter camera ring before any interior camera, and no cameras in private rooms by default. If you disagree with a rule for a particular villa, say so, and the design runs again.

Physics you can check

KNX lines are held within their 64-device limit with a residential margin, and bus power is budgeted in milliamps against the supply. Dimmer channels are sized to the fixtures the client actually specified, with the dimming method taken from the driver datasheet or marked "to confirm". Screens of seven inches and above get their own 24 V supply in the board, the group address scheme is ready for ETS, and the PoE budget is stated in watts and ports.

No brand lock

The design is the same whichever validated hardware stack builds it.

Each tier resolves to one validated hardware stack per design, and brand names appear in the proposal's prose rather than on the quantity lines, so your specification never turns into a manufacturer's brochure. KNX is an open standard supported by hundreds of manufacturers, which means the villa never depends on any single one of them.

How you use it

Review our documents for your client, or run the villa yourself.

Some consultants review our documents on their client's behalf and sign the specification. Others hold an account, run the villa with the client themselves, and let the contractor price against it. Both work well. Our own engineer's review before dispatch is no substitute for yours; it exists so that yours can be quick.

Send one villa

Open your Studio, or send the plans of the villa on your desk. The design at selling depth costs nothing, and it comes back in hours.
